Welcome to the Commons Farm Kitchen, a farmer-owned country restaurant serving burgers, western B-B-Q and seasonal farm fresh meals from our farm and other local farms in a historic roadside establishment.
Originally opened as Bennett's Rustic Bar-B-Q in 1926 and most recently known as the Guinda Commons, our menu features open pit oak wood BBQ (Santa Maria style), burgers, housemade pickles, Portuguese specialties and small plates sourced from Capay Valley farms, including our own farm, Casa Rosa Farm.
Rachel, our farmer-owner, creates a seasonal dinner special served Thursday through Saturday. We have 6 beers on tap, an assortment of bottled and craft brews, ciders and local wine by the glass. Seasonal cocktails and mocktails made with wine and cider. Free wi-fi and clean bathroom for customers. Large outdoor backyard patio, with a porch swing, big lawn and fire pit plus cornhole game. Kid friendly. Pets allowed in backyard. We have seasonal produce and locally made jams, honey, olive oil and gifts available for purchase in our cafe as well as off-sale beer and wine by the bottle.
Spring-Summer Sunday hours are 11-7 and our menu features breakfast, lunch and BBQ with new items from Chef Stephan. We are still hoping to have a Rib Cookoff and live music on our outdoor stage in September or October.
