![]() Here at the farm kitchen, we've been working on upping the ante in the sweets department. Last week's desserts were phenomenal! We also have been sporadically issuing forth from the kitchen with fresh donuts from the fryer. We've had a few notable flops in that department, but we are getting the hang of it! During Almond Blossom Festival, February 25th, we'll be frying donuts throughout the day to order. For Valentine's Day, we'll be featuring chocolate dipped organic strawberries (from J Ramos Farms in Santa Maria) . $2 each berry, $10 for 6, or $18 for a dozen! We'll also have fresh flowers for that special someone in your life, for sale in the cafe room from the talented Hannah Muller @fullbellyfloral !! From all of us here at the Commons, we hope you had a great holiday break with friends and family. We're back from visiting family and ready to start working on our summer line up of events and barbeques. Starting in May we will start our monthly outdoor barbeques, and are planning a few family friendly movie nights, as well as a car show on May 12th. As always please stop in and talk to us if you are looking for a fun place to have a birthday party, family gathering or other special event. We also are going to start offering catering, you can hire us to tend mobile bar at your event, or set up a delicious locally sourced appetizer spread.
Coming up quickly is the Almond Blossom Festival! We'll be open and barbequeing and will hopefully have some live music. As of 11/2/17, we are open for business. Tomorrow night, Friday night is our official first opening day. It will be a soft opening, with three items on the menu.
Linguica Sausage Sandwich, Grits Bowl (vegetarian), Meat & Cheese Plate All the bar snacks are available except the chicharrones. |
